27 Years Marked with Nationally Recognized Program
What: Partnerships in Education Community Recognition Event
When: 4-6 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009.
Where: Nautilus Pavilion, Sea World, 500 Sea World Dr., (92109)
Background: More than 1,400 of the companies, work groups and other
members of the community who regularly contribute more than $5.6 million
annually in funds, goods and "sweat equity" to San Diego's school kids
will be honored tomorrow at a gala at Sea World. No more tickets are
available for the 27th Annual "Partnerships in Education Community
Recognition Event," but those attending will be in great company --
they're San Diegans who have given their money, time and materials to
help students in the San Diego Unified School District.
Photos: Students performing include: the Mission Bay High Dixie Jazz
Band; Allysa Smith, fourth grader from Oak Park Music Conservatory who
will sing the national anthem; the African Drum Ensemble from CPMA.
