1 through April 14 -- Student Art Exhibit 2010, all day through April 14,

2 -- Read Across America Day, various times, various schools. Day celebrates
the birthday of the late Theodore Geisel, Dr. Seuss.

2 -- Powwow Workshop Soaring Eagles, 6 p.m., Ballard Parent Center, 2375

Eagles student dance troupe, and pitch in to help the children learn
history, heritage and performance lessons. Part of Parent Outreach's

4-6, 11-13 -- SCPA "Working" -- Grand Theater, San Diego School of Creative
and Performing Arts, 2425 Dusk Drive (92139). A Musical by Stephen Schwartz
and Nina Faso et al based on the play by Studs Terkel, Directed by Mark
Stevens. It runs at 7 p.m. March 4, 5, 11, 12 and at 2 p.m. March 6 and 13
in The Grand Theatre at SCPA. Tickets are $8 general admission and $6

5 Concert with "The Green Children," 7 p.m., John Muir School, 4431 Mount
Herbert Ave. (92117). Seating will be limited. The Green Children is
Norwegian singer-songwriter Milla Sunde and English multi-instrumentalist
Marlow Bevan. Since meeting at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts,
the pair has toured Europe, Asia and the U.S. to support their nonprofit,
The Green Children Foundation. The foundation funds microcredit, education
and healthcare initiatives in developing countries, and is a founding
partner of the two Grameen Green Children Eye Hospitals in Bangladesh.

6 -- San Diego City-County Partnership Honor Choir, 7 p.m., Point Loma
Nazarene University, Brown Chapel, 3900 Lomaland Drive (92106). Enjoy a
concert with the best singers from choirs in elementary, middle and high
schools as selected by San Diego Unified VAPA, San Diego County VAPA, Calif.

Diego's largest celebration of science returns to offer thousands of
students and their families the opportunity to excite their minds. In
addition to year-round K-12 programs, the 2010 event will bring a week of
science activities and exploration to San Diego County with hundreds of free
events. Culminates in Expo Day at PETCO Park on March 27. Contact: Judy
