* 31 -- Mission Bay Cluster Schools Fair and Schoolyard Dash 5K, 8:30 a.m. to noon, De Anza Cove, Mission Bay Park. The third annual Fair and Dash kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a Fun Run, 9 a.m. for the 5K Run/Walk, and the Mission Bay Cluster Schools Fair at 9:30. The Fair showcases the excellent public schools in the Pacific Beach neighborhood with information for parents and kids on the educational opportunities, plus fun activities. 1-2 -- John Lennon Educational Foundation Tour Bus Visit to Crown Point Junior Music Academy, open times to be announced, Crown Point Junior Music Academy, 4033 Ingraham Street (92109). The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit 501(c)(3) state-of-the-art mobile audio and HD video recording and production facility. With the assistance of three on-board engineers, students learn how to write, perform, record, and produce original songs, produce and shoot music videos and documentaries and complete a broadcast quality music video. The second Design Task Force meeting is for phase one of the Whole Site Modernization Project at Balboa Elementary School. You will join other key stakeholders and the architect to discuss the general design of the school, and how it can best serve the students and the community for years to come.
