The draft 2016-17 LCAP proposal is the culmination of a process that has included hundreds of people in meetings across the district, including parents, staff, students and other stakeholders. More than 800 comments have already been received online and at cluster meetings, advisory committees, and the Associated Student Body presidents' meeting. The public will have the opportunity to provide additional comments on the LCAP through June 28, when the Board is expected to approve the final LCAP.
San Diego Unified has launched a multi-year strategy to deliver quality schools in every neighborhood. Each year, the district produces a detailed LCAP plan on how it plans to improve student academic achievement, school climate, parent engagement and other areas. The LCAP plan also addresses the needs of specific student groups, such as English-language learners, foster youth, and low-income students.
The San Diego Unified 2016-17 draft LCAP plan is available online in English, Spanish, Somali and Vietnamese. The link is:

Following the first reading, the public will have the opportunity to provide additional comments on the LCAP through June 28, when the Board is expected to approve the final LCAP.
