Details: East Village High School (formerly San Diego Early/Middle College), partnered with San Diego City College, welcomes the community to attend its first Recruitment/ Student Showcase and Spring Festival on Wednesday, June 15. Open to prospective 9th-12th grade students and their families, this free event will include:
· Campus tours led by current East Village High School students
· Student artwork showcase
· Food and live music
· Teachers and City College counselors will also be on site to answer questions and help interested students sign-up for Fall 2016 enrollment
About East Village Founded in 2008, San Diego Unified School District’s East Village High School is open to 9th-12th grade students who are interested in a rigorous, college-focused, personalized education, which prepares them to succeed in college and their career. East Village High School is partnered with San Diego City College to offer students the opportunity to earn their high school diploma while simultaneously earning college credit.
East Village High School:
· Offers rigorous academic, college courses
· Provides a small-classroom and family environment
· Free tuition and college textbooks
· Allows students to complete up to 52 college credits, while also earn a high school diploma, free of charge
Today, East Village High School has been ranked as one of “America’s Top High Schools” in Newsweek magazine, and was awarded a silver medal three years in a row for “Best High Schools in the U.S.” by the U.S. News and World Report.
