FINAL TOWN HALL MEETING ON BUDGET
Monday night is the final meeting in a series of budget town-hall meetings to talk about the future of education funding in the San Diego Unified School District.
With the San Diego Unified School District facing a budget cut of $80 million or more in the next school year, all San Diego Unified taxpayers, including parents and guardians, students, district employees and interested citizens are urged to attend.
Attendees will learn more about the budget crisis and offer ideas and feedback to Board members on the best ways to balance the budget for the 2010-11 school year.
The next meeting is 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14 at Porter Elementary North, Auditorium, 445 S. 47th St. (92113). The board president and Sub-District E representative, Shelia Jackson, will host.
