San Diego Unified School District Board of Education to Hold Public Budget Workshop
October 17, 2024
WHAT: The Board of Education is holding a special meeting to discuss the projected $176 million budget gap for the 2025-26 school year. The workshop is open to the public. District staff, families, educational partners, and community members are invited to attend.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an overview of the budget and discuss potential solutions to address the projected budget gap. This will be an informational meeting, and therefore no voting or decisions will be made at the workshop.
The agenda for the special meeting will be posted on Friday, October 18 at noon, along with the link to sign up for public comment on agenda items.
Following the meeting, which will also be live streamed on YouTube, an online feedback form will be made available for district staff, families, educational partners, and community members to share any input or ideas.
The next scheduled meeting to discuss the budget is in December for the first interim report.
