SD UNIFIED POLICE PEDALING HOLIDAY CHEER WITH BIKE GIVEAWAYS
WHAT: In what will be a surprise giveaway, 15 students at Horton Elementary will be receiving a new bike and helmet through San Diego Unified School Police’s True Blue Buddies (TBB) program. TBB received the bikes through a generous donation from their partnership with the San Diego Bike Coalition.
WHY: The goal of True Blue Buddies is to build a bridge between School Police, students, and their families, and this event is another in a number of events District officers participate throughout the year at various schools.
WHEN: Wednesday, December 18, 9-10 a.m.
WHERE: Horton Elementary School, 5050 Guymon St, San Diego, CA 92102
WHO: San Diego Unified School Police; representatives from Bikes for Kids Foundation
VISUALS: Students participating in a bike safety rodeo where they’ll learn about bicycle and traffic safety. Following the rodeo, students will discover they’re each receiving a new bike and helmet.
MEDIA PARKING: Parking lot located on the south side of Horton Elementary School.
