WHAT: Media Availability & Welcoming Students Back  

 

WHY: 95,000 students from across San Diego will attend their first day of the new school year at 175 San Diego Unified Schools on Monday. San Diego Unified officials will visit schools across the District, and the media is invited to join them at Patrick Henry High School to do interviews, and welcome the students back!     

 

WHEN: Monday, August 10, 2026 

• Welcoming Students & Families to School 
• 8:30 a.m. Students enter gates for schedules, classroom assignments 
• 9:20 a.m. Students start school
