2nd Annual New Student “Signing Day” at Toler Elementary Friday, August 7
WHAT: Signing Day & Welcome Celebration at San Diego Unified School District’s Toler Elementary for Transitional Kindergarten (TK), Kindergarten and any new students to the school. It is the second consecutive year students and families are invited to campus to officially commit to becoming a Toler Dolphin. Last year about 60 students and their families attended, and administrators expect around 65 students and their families for the 2026-27 school year. Toler will be home to about 225 students.
WHY: Designed to build excitement and belonging, and modeled after college athlete signing days, each student participates in a ceremonial signing of the Toler Elementary Dolphin Commitment, promising to learn, grow, show kindness, persevere, and make a Splash in the school community. Other activities scheduled include: a fun photo station, Toler swag giveaways, meet-and-greets with educators, making connections with the PTA.
WHEN: Friday, August 7, 2026
- 10:30 a.m. Welcome + Opening Remarks
- 10:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. – Students Signings & Classroom Tours
