MEDIA ADVISORY: Foster Elementary School Student Named Principal for the Day

WHAT:  Second-grader Jameson Thornton will be Principal for the Day at Foster Elementary School. The winner of this year’s silent auction fundraiser, Jameson will start his day by welcoming students at the front gate as they arrive to school. He will spend the day visiting classrooms and the library/STEM Lab, observing students and teachers work on projects. “Principal” Thornton will also read a book to kindergarten students and give the entire student body a surprise extra 15-minute recess.

 

WHEN:  Wednesday, May 29, 2019, 7:30 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.

 

                7:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.:  Welcome students

    7:50 a.m.:  Announce extra recess

    8:30 a.m. - 8:50 a.m.:  Read to kindergarten students

   11:30 a.m.:  Lunch
