SEN. KEHOE TO HONOR STUDENT ESSAY CONTEST WINNERS
WHO: Sen. Christine Kehoe (D-San Diego) will honor winners of the annual
39th Senate District student essay contest.
WHAT: The essay contest solicited and received 600 submissions from
fifth grade students in San Diego. The contest theme is a "Letter to
President Obama."
WHERE: Hawthorne Elementary School, 4750 Lehrer Dr. San Diego
WHEN: Friday, May 15, 2009, 10:45 a.m.
VISUALS: Elementary school students and teachers attend awards ceremony
and Sen. Kehoe presents contest winners with prizes from the San Diego
Padres, SeaWorld, AT&T, and Chili's Restaurant. Top three winners will
read their essays.
