Summer Fun Lunch Welcomes Supt. O¹Connell
State Superintendent Visits Linda Vista Rec Center Program
What: Summer Fun Café kids lunch program visit by state Supt. Jack
O¹Connell, hosted by Shelia Jackson, President, San Diego Unified School
District Board of Education. Jackson and O¹Connell will be speaking at a
special community barbecue.
When: 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 27
Where: 7064 Levant Street, 92113
Background: Summer Fun Café is a joint program of the San Diego Unified
School District and City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department to
provide free lunch Monday-Friday at selected recreation centers and schools
around the district. It¹s funded through a grant from the US Department of
Agriculture. Other participants include SDG&E, San Diego Food Bank and the
Network for Healthy California.
