START THE 2012-13 SCHOOL YEAR AT SERRA HIGH SCHOOL

DETAILS: Kick off the school year right with all kinds of activitiesŠ
students, parents, teachers and staff, plus the principal, superintendent
and president of the Board of Education.

WHAT/WHEN: Morning news availability at Serra High School, 5156 Santo Rd.
(92124), Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012

ACCESS TIME: Live trucks will be able to park at the football field
starting at 4:30 a.m. Enter from the north access road to the campus (the
driveway north of the traffic-signal entrance to the school on Santo
Road.) Map and directions:

Using the north driveway, continue straight west to the stadium.

ACTIVITIES (times are approximate)

-- 5-6 a.m. Principal Mike Jimenez, parents and students from the school's
PTSA and foundation

-- 5:30-6 a.m., JROTC drill

-- 6-7:15 a.m., Board of Education President Dr. John Lee Evans,
Superintendent Bill Kowba

-- 6:30-8 a.m. Varsity football team with coach Brian Basteyns

-- 8-8:30 a.m. Conquistador Marching Band
