San Diego Unified Board President Mike McQuary explains next steps on board vacancy

 

SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Unified Board President Mike McQuary will brief reporters on next steps the Board of Education will consider to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of ex-Trustee Marne Foster. The Board will discuss and take action on the plan at the Board Meeting that starts at 5 p.m. President McQuary says the Board will consider plans to appoint a replacement, rather than holding an expensive special election. McQuary will also release the requirements anyone hoping to fill the position must meet in regards to age, citizenship and residency.
