Chavez Elementary School Recognized for Changing Lives Through Literacy with Spectacular Student Showcase
More than 100 students and parents will take part in the special celebration hosted by the Masons of California


WHAT: The Masons of California will host a special event at Chavez Elementary School in recognition of their support for literacy through their Raising A Reader program. The celebration will feature student ballet folklorico performances. The event seeks to promote the importance of quality public schools rally communities in support of education. The Raising A Reader program has also been implemented in several schools throughout the district thanks to funding by the Masons of California. In addition to the California Mason dignitaries, Superintendent Cindy Marten and School Board President, Dr. Whitehurst-Payne will be in attendance.
