Spring Festival Focuses on Employee Mental Health and Wellbeing

For the second year in a row, San Diego Unified School District is hosting a spring festival for teachers and district staff focused on mental health and wellbeing. Employees are invited to explore the various resources available to them regarding overall wellness.
Community partners will also be on hand to explain benefits available to district employees, including Cal Coast Credit Union, the County of San Diego, VEBA, Kaiser Permanente and UnitedHealthcare.
Attendees will be able to make bike-powered smoothies, take part in health screenings and mindfulness activities, test drive e-bikes, browse and shop from local vendors, and enjoy free refreshments and live music.

BACKGROUND: Nationwide, students, families, and school district staff have been significantly impacted by the adverse effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, both physically and emotionally.
