Press Release from the San Diego Unified School District, March 21, 2018
Serra High School threat investigation concludes with arrest
San Diego Unified School Police today announced the arrest of a juvenile at Serra High School for allegedly making a threat against the school.
The alleged suspect reportedly told School Police the comment was not meant to be taken seriously. School Police believe the threat to be non-credible, but determined it meets the definition of a criminal threat.
District officials have called a press conference for Friday, March 23, at 10:15 a.m. at the Education Center (4100 Normal St., 92103) to discuss the rising number of threats against schools. Both the San Diego Chief of Police and District Attorney will take part in the press conference.
