BACKGROUND: This annual event is in its thirteenth year and connects business partners with students and teachers to develop a strong foundation for the economic future of San Diego. Students share products they produce and business problems they solve in collaboration with members of the local business community. More than 300 industry
professionals volunteered to be mentors, guest speakers, or advisors for our students. This year CCTE is once again collaborating with Nick Cannon Foundation to host the
foundation's America's Teen Mogul (ATM) Student Business Plan Competition (BPC) designed to educate youth to the global career and entrepreneur opportunities available in high demand career industries in San Diego. As part of the ATM Competition there will also be a panel of business executives who will speak and answer questions about the unlimited opportunities that exist for young entrepreneurs. The CCTE Showcase panel of judges is comprised of members of the greater San Diego business community and other industry and corporate partners as well as personnel from the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD). The ATM Competition is sponsored and supported by JPMorgan Chase & Co., FedEx Corporation, Burni Enterprises, and Nick Cannon. The CCTE Showcase is open to the public. There is no charge to attend the event.
