26 -- "Best Communities for Music Education in America" Award Presentation, 11 a.m., Oak Park Conservatory of Music, 2606 54th St. (92105). Representatives of the National Association of Music Merchants will be in San Diego to present San Diego Unified with the award. Oak Park students will be performing as part of the ceremony. * 28 -- Angier Elementary Food Drive, all day, Angier Elementary School, 8450 Hurlburt St. (92123). Pre-holiday canned food drive supports Serra Mesa Community County Food Pantry. 29 -- Holmes Elementary Halloween Parade, Holmes Elementary School, 4902 Mt. Ararat Dr. (92111). Mrs. Cross will lead the parade by walking by each classroom and inviting the children to join in. * 6 -- Curie Elementary Holiday Craft Fair, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Curie Elementary School, 4080 Governor Dr. (92122). Sponsored by the PTA at Curie, this longtime community staple draws more than 100 booths with sellers offering hundreds of handmade arts and crafts items, food booths, bake sale and silent auction. 13 -- Pt. Loma High 85th Anniversary Gala, 6 p.m., Liberty Station Conference Center, 2600 Laning Rd. (92106).
