26 -- "Best Communities for Music Education in America" Award Presentation, 11 a.m., Oak Park Conservatory of Music, 2606 54th St. (92105). Representatives of the National Association of Music Merchants will be in San Diego to present San Diego Unified with the award. Oak Park students will be performing as part of the ceremony. 29 -- Holmes Elementary Halloween Parade, Holmes Elementary School, 4902 Mt. Ararat Dr. (92111). Mrs. Cross will lead the parade by walking by each classroom and inviting the children to join in. Sponsored by the PTA at Curie, this longtime community staple draws more than 100 booths with sellers offering hundreds of handmade arts and crafts items, food booths, bake sale and silent auction.
