MASONS DONATE $141,000 TO SAN DIEGO UNIFIED STUDENTS

WHAT: Masons of California present San Diego Unified School District
officials with a check for $141,000 to support learning in the district.

WHEN/WHERE: 9 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, Rowan Elementary School, 1755
Rowan St. (92105). Directions: South on Fairmount Ave. or I-805 to Home
Ave., west on Home Ave. to Gateway Dr., northwest to 39th St., south to
Rowan St.

DETAILS: On April 10, San Diego public schools will receive a generous
donation from the Masons of California: Local Masons on the fraternity¹s
Public Schools Advisory Council will present district administrators with
$141,000 in support of local teachers and students. The donation is part
of the Mason¹s commitment to make a profound difference for public
education throughout the state.

The programs generously supported by the Masons¹ donation include:

‹ Raising A Reader Literacy Partnership, which strengthens families and
boosts elementary school students¹ chances to succeed academically;

‹ Investment in Success Scholarship Program, which gives deserving high
school seniors a chance to complete a college education.
