Lastly, facts about this project are below. We are working on a press release at this time. Let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

The Academy of Engineering and Design (AOED) project upgraded spaces inside the 500 building into a civil engineering and design lab, a fabrication lab with storage, relocated graphic arts instructional space, and a combination workroom and conference room. Existing AOED classrooms received upgraded digital fabrication equipment, woodshop equipment, and a new block wall that encloses the courtyard. The new graphic arts program space includes a new storefront window, workspace countertops, an exterior screen-printing courtyard, and exterior sinks.

Whole Site Modernization Phase 2:  The Whole Site Modernization (WSM) Phase II work at Henry High School included construction of a new two-story classroom building that features 24 standard classrooms, two Regional Occupational Program (ROP) classrooms, and an ROP observation room. The ROP classrooms have a secure, fenced-in outdoor play yard with landscape, turf, and play structures. The project provides new outdoor learning areas and a shade canopy within the courtyard.

Improvements to the administration office include a remodeled entrance with shade canopy, landscape, hardscape, a new glass storefront-style design, and a new staff lounge area. Site improvements include reconfiguration of the existing parking lot to accommodate approximately 55 staff parking stalls. The project provides accessibility and other improvements to satisfy California Building Code requirements, including fire prevention, safety, sustainability, and energy efficiency.
