Loma Portal Elementary Principal, Staff, to Spread Cheer to Students During COVID-19 Quarantine

 

WHAT:    

With signs, music, and a caravan, Loma Portal Elementary School staff will spread cheer to students during the COVID-19 shelter-in-place. Staff members will drive through the neighborhood to connect with families. Staff members will remain in their individual vehicles, while families will remain in their driveways. Some students decorated their driveways and wrote messages to their teachers with sidewalk chalk.

2:00 - 2:05 p.m.  -     Principal and staff line up at Loma Portal Elementary School

2:05 - 2:30 p.m. - Principal and staff begin driving to spread cheer through  neighborhood 

 

*Please note: teachers will begin arriving at Loma Portal Elementary School at 1:00 p.m. to gather instructional materials that will be used for the district’s new distance learning that will go into effect April 6. Please do not park in the staff parking lot - and do not go onto the campus.
