BACKGROUND:

Serving students for almost 65 years, Crawford High School has been transformed into a state-of-the art campus through a series of projects. San Diego Unified recently completed construction on the Whole Site Modernization Phase III project, renovating classrooms and student facilities, giving the campus a striking new look in the community.

During the most recent round of renovations, crews demolished the existing auditorium to create a three-story facility that houses twenty classrooms, a performing arts center, and student services administrative offices. The project includes a drop-off and pick-up area at the corner of Orange Avenue and Colts Way, which will be accompanied by a new parking lot as the final piece.

These projects follow several others that have recently completed at Crawford High, including Whole Site Modernization Phase I, Whole Site Modernization Phase II, and multiple sports facilities projects, which all together upgraded and modernized all existing facilities on the Crawford High campus.

Crawford High School will turn 65 on April 27, 2023. You can read more about Crawford High School's history here. For bond project details, please refer to the project fact sheets, or visit http://fpcprojects.sandi.net.
