SAN DIEGO Barnard Asian Pacific Language Academy has many special things
to celebrate in this coming Year of the Horse - it has a new campus in
Pacific Beach and it has joined the Mission Bay Cluster.
Barnard will not only continue to teach Chinese, but has expanded to offer
other Pacific Rim languages, i.e., Korean and Japanese. It is the only
public school of this kind in the nation.
So, it is with extra excitement that Barnard celebrates the Lunar New Year
its expanded languages and new campus. Please join us on Wednesday,
January 29th for traditional lion dance, martial arts demonstrations,
classical Chinese musical performances, and performances by Barnard¹s
incredible students. Invited guests include interim San Diego interim
Mayor Todd Gloria, Mayoral Candidates, School Board Members: Richard
Barrera, Scott Barnett, Kevin Beiser, and Marne Foster, among others. On
Saturday, February 1st, our public school celebration will also include
crafts, games, art auction, as well as fabulous performances. The
festival annually draws hundreds of people from all over the county.
