Student-Led Flag Raising at District Headquarters to Celebrate Diversity, Inclusion for Pride Month

WHAT: Students from San Diego Unified will celebrate June as Pride Month by raising the Pride Progress Flag in a ceremony at district headquarters. Several students will also share their perspectives highlighting diversity and inclusion. District staff, educators, students, and members of the Board of Education will attend the ceremony. 

 

The ceremony underscores the district’s continuing commitment and education plan to promote safe and affirming spaces for LGBTQIA+ students, families, and staff.  

 

WHEN: Wednesday, May 29, 12-1 p.m.

 

WHERE: San Diego Unified School District flagpole, 4100 Normal Street, San Diego, CA 92103
