BARNARD MANDARIN CHINESE MAGNET SCHOOL INVITES SAN DIEGO TO CELEBRATE
CHINESE NEW YEAR
WHAT: 2012 Year of the Dragon Ceremonies for school community
WHEN:
SCHOOL CELEBRATION: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012 (Students and
performers will be available at 5:30 a.m. for morning shows; make special
arrangements.)
PUBLIC CELEBRATION: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4
WHERE: Barnard Elementary School, 2930 Barnard St. (92110).
DETAILS: Once again, San Diego's Mandarin Chinese Magnet School will be
celebrating the Chinese New Year with traditional lion dance, martial arts
demonstrations, classical Chinese musical performances, and performances by
Barnard¹s incredible students. The students will be performing Chinese
songs and dances, with good food available. Proceeds help support the
programs at the school.
