Park (92103). The 4th Annual All Schools Fair provides parents throughout
San Diego County an opportunity to obtain information on the various
programs offered within the San Diego Unified School District. Live

31 Whitman Elementary Star Party, 6:30 8:30 p.m., 4050 Appleton
Street, (92117). Whitman Elementary School¹s blacktop is the setting for
an evening of star gazing through the San Diego Astronomy Club's
telescopes. Set your sights on several planets, the moon, some of the
stars in our galaxy, or other celestial bodies in the universe. Contact:

1 -- African American History Month.
2 -- Transforming Education -- Education Re-Energized, 5:30 p.m., USS
Midway Museum, 910 North Harbor Drive (92101). Best-selling author and
leadership consultant Steve Farber will share the perspectives of his
book, The Radical Leap Re-Energized, and will lead a discussion of
educators who¹ve successfully implemented his ³Leap² tenets of Love,
Energy, Audacity and Proof and Extreme Leadership. In addition, you¹ll
have the rare opportunity to meet representatives from many of the
region¹s most generous corporate and community-sponsored education

3 -- Clairemont High Community Tri Mathlon, 6-8 p.m., Marston Middle
School, 3799 Clairemont Dr. Tri Mathlon is a math competition for
mathletes of all abilities where kids compete by grade-level. The contest
features three worksheets involving problems that use number sense, not
special formulas or calculators. Students from throughout the Clairemont
High cluster (middle and elementary schools that feed to Clairemont High

* 3 -- Food Trucks Rally Benefitting Birney Elementary School, 3:30-7
p.m., New Vision Christian Fellowship, 4353 Park Blvd. (92103). Tabe,
FoodFar, New York on Rye, Groggy's and Mrs. Frostie food trucks are
schedule to circle to help rebuild the auditorium and cafeteria at Birney
Elementary School. The school's facilities were damaged in a Jan. 17 fire.

4 -- Barnard Elementary Chinese New Year Celebration, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.,

2010, and it prompted changes in homework policies at some public.

Nature-Deficit Disorder (Algonquin), which offers a new vision of the
