*9 -- Masons of California celebrate Public Schools Month, 9 a.m., Madison High School Auditorium, 4833 Doliva Drive (92117). San Diego Unified and the Masons of California kick off Public Schools Month in San Diego. At the celebration, the Masons of California will present a check for $119,000, demonstrating the fraternity's continued commitment to providing vital support for public education in San Diego. More than 130 students selected by audition will be playing, representing 13 San Diego Unified high schools: Clairemont, Hoover, La Jolla, Madison, Mira Mesa, Morse, Patrick Henry, Point Loma, SDHS School of International Studies, SCPA, Scripps Ranch, Serra and University City. *29 -- Athlete Ally Pledge at Petco Park, 12:25-12:45 p.m. Petco Park, 100 Park Blvd. (92101). Superintendent Cindy Marten, Padres CEO Mike Dee, Athlete Ally Founder Hudson Taylor, students and players will be on the field at Petco Park before the game to take a pledge against bullying. The goal is to educate fans about Athlete Ally and encourage everyone to take the pledge. There will be a 30-second video clip played with a relevant message from Supt. *2 -- 21st Annual Taste of the Triangle 2015, 7-10:30 p.m. UCSD Faculty Club, 9500 Gilman Drive (92093). "Reach for the Stars"- will be an evening of fun, food and fundraising for University City public schools. Enjoy food from 20 San Diego restaurants, over 100 silent auction baskets, live entertainment throughout the evening, and dancing underneath the stars. San Diego Unified School District honors its 2015 district and school site Teachers of the Year in a festive off-site board meeting with music and refreshments provided by students.
