Kickoff of San Diego Unified's participation in Grad Nation, a national effort to raise the high-school graduation rate in the US to 90 percent (it is currently 80 percent). The speaker is Aída Walqui, English learner scholar and director of the teacher professional development program at WestEd, anonpartisan, nonprofit research, development, and service agency working with education and other communities throughout the United States and abroad.
