SAN DIEGO ADMINISTRATORS, EDUCATORS & STUDENTS CALL FOR THE SAT TO BE OFFERED IN SCHOOL TO ALL STUDENTS

SAN DIEGO – This Thursday, May 17, San Diego area administrators, educators, advocates and students will voice support for college admissions tests like the SAT to be offered during the school day to all high school students in lieu of standardized state tests.

The San Diego Unified School District and Superintendent Cindy Marten support the Pathways to College Act, currently moving through the California State Legislature, which would empower school districts to administer college admissions tests like the SAT in school at no cost to students, as an alternative to state tests. The goal, in part, is to prepare more students for college and make mandated tests more meaningful for students.
