Student Innovation Showcase Highlights Project-Based Learning
Projects from 40 teams representing the work of hundreds of students to be presented

Hundreds of students from across San Diego Unified School District are gathering to present their project-based learning and College, Career and Technical Education (CCTE) pathway projects at the annual CCTE Innovation Showcase.

WHEN: Wednesday, May 24 from 2-5 p.m.

BACKGROUND/VISUALS: From designing an escape room and building oversized outdoor games, to producing health public-service announcements and podcasts, these projects explore community-related challenges, industry-focused objectives, and are personally relevant to students.
Projects entered into the competition portion will be presented by students in a TED Talk-style stage in front of a live panel of judges from industry and education. Additional projects will be on display in exhibit booths, while video and photography projects will be screened in the theater. Students in visual and performing arts programs will provide music entertainment throughout the event, and refreshments will be provided by students in culinary arts programs.
