San Diego Unified Students to Collaborate with Grammy Award-Winning and Academy Award-Nominated Composer and Lyricist Marc Shaiman
Students take part in a rehearsal and Q&A session ahead of performance at Rady Shell with acclaimed composer



Students from the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SDSCPA) will have the opportunity to meet with composer and lyricist Marc Shaiman<https://www.marcshaiman.com/?utm_source=wordfly&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=NBB_SpecialConcerts_onsale_03.15.24&utm_content=version_A&promo=> ahead of their performance at the Rady Shell at Jacob's Park. This collaboration offers students the experience of gaining real-world knowledge from a renowned professional artist, and it underscores San Diego Unified's commitment to nurturing the artistic passions of its students. A Tony- and Grammy-award winning artist, Marc Shaiman has worked on everything from Saturday Night Live to movies that include "When Harry Met Sally" and "Mary Poppins Returns." SDSCPA offers rigorous academics to students, in addition to a rich education in the visual and performing arts. Many SDSCPA students go on to pursue professional careers in creative industries.



WHAT: Members of the media are invited to join the student creative workshop rehearsal of SDSCPA's upcoming performance at the Rady Shell (July 3, 2024) with a question and answer session with Marc Shaiman.
