Student Speakers to Amplify Voices and Raise Flag in Celebration of LGBTQIA+ History Month

WHAT: LGBTQIA+ History Month Flag Raising

 

WHEN: Wednesday, Oct. 2, 10 a.m.

 

WHERE: San Diego Unified School District flagpole, 4100 Normal Street, San Diego, CA 92103

 

BACKGROUND: In recognition of October as LGBTQIA+ History Month, students will be lending their support to help facilitate positive change at their respective schools. Expected speakers include students from elementary through high school. 

 

SPECIAL NOTE: While all the speakers are media cleared and open to being videotaped, some students in the crowd would prefer not to be shown. We ask your help in refraining from using identifiable cutaway shots. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
