2 -- Year-Round Schools Resume Classes.

* 2-6 – Teacher Appreciation Week, celebrated at schools around the district. At Ocean Beach Elementary School, 4741 Santa Monica Ave. (92107), activites range from homemade cards, breakfast for staff and honors for staff running all week. 2 -- Crawford High Cluster Committee Meeting, 6 p.m., Euclid Elementary School, 4166 Euclid Ave. (92105). Discussion and community dialogue with parents and community members in the Crawford High School Complex area, including middle and elementary schools that feed into Crawford High. 3 – Day of the Teacher Celebration, 4:30 p.m., Mission Bay High School, 2475 Grand Ave. (92109). Ceremonies honor San Diego Unified's outstanding individual teachers for the school year. Teachers of the Year will be named for the elementary, middle and high schools. Student musicians will perform and members of the culinary arts program will provide hors d'oeuvres. 6 -- Silver Gate Elementary Dinner Dance and Auction, 5:30 p.m., Liberty Station Conference Center, 2600 Laning Road (92106). Fundraiser for Pt. 19 – Teen Iron Chef Competition, San Diego High School, 1405 Park Blvd. (92101). Students from Mira Mesa, Scripps Ranch, Madison and San Diego high schools will compete for the title of top culinary team in the San Diego Unified School District. 20 -- Pt. Loma High Rhapsody on the Point 2011, Humphreys, 2241 Shelter Island Drive San Diego, CA 92106. Annual music show featuring performances by students from schools throughout Pt. Loma. The musicians will be joined by San Diegan Kristina Goettler, Principal Oboe player for the Kansas City Symphony, for the fourth annual Rhapsody on the Point, an evening of beautiful music and a pivotal fundraiser for the Point Loma High instrumental music program. The evening will also honor The Thursday Club, a local philanthropic organization whose mission includes music and arts education. General Admission and premium Cabaret table seating is available on the website, www.rhapsodyonthepoint.com ($45 General Admission; $80 for two; cabaret tables from $250 - $1000). * 20-21 – Silver Gate Elementary Garden Gator Fundraiser, Silver Gate Elementary School, 1499 Venice St. (92107). Farmer's Market at Pt. Loma area school, selling fruit, vegetables, herbs, flowers and potted plants, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the school. Tuesday: Powwow Workshop Soaring Eagles, 6 p.m. Ballard Parent Center, 2375 Congress Ave. (92110). Enjoy free potluck supper and practice for Soaring Eagles student dance troupe, and pitch in to help the children learn history, heritage and performance lessons. Wednesday: Adams Avenue Farmers Market, 3- 7 p.m., Adams Elementary School playground, 4672 35th Street, San Diego (92116). The Adams Avenue Business Association coordinates the Farmers Market.
