2 -- Lincoln High School Center for the Arts Choir And Piano Concert, 7
p.m., Lincoln High School, 4777 Imperial Ave. (92113). Come and join our

* 2-- Panasonic National School Change Award ceremony, 1:30-2:30 p.m.,
Kearny High School of International Business, 7651 Wellington St. (92111).
Kearny School of Business is one of the six winners of the 12th Annual
Panasonic National School Change Award, a national recognition for schools
that have worked hard to improve themselves. More information:

* 2 ­ 120 Million Words Reading Celebration Parade, 1:45 p.m., Freese
Elementary School, 8140 Greenlawn Dr. (92114). Students at Freese have
read more than 120 million words this year. To mark the occasion, students
are welcoming their families to school for a special lunch and parade with

* 4 ­ Soaring Eagles Pow Wow, noon to 10 p.m., Harold Ballard Parent
Center, 2375 Congress St. (92110). Annual celebration of the district¹s
groundbreaking Native American program includes Indian tacos, door prizes,
and American Indian arts and crafts booths. Contact: Vicki Gambala,

6 -- Kearny Construction Tech Academy Connect-Ed Certification Ceremony,
10:30 a.m., Stanley E. Foster Construction Tech Academy at Kearny High
School, 7651 Wellington St. (92111). Connect-Ed, a statewide educational
advocacy group, will award Linked Learning Certification to the school.

6 -- Crawford High Cluster Committee Meeting, 6 p.m., Mann Middle School,
4345 54th St. (92115). Discussion and community dialogue with parents and
community members in the Crawford High School Complex area, including

* 8 ­ San Diego High School Cluster meeting, 5:30 p.m., Burbank Elementary

29 -- Lincoln High School Center for the Arts Concord Blue Devils Drum and
Bugle Corp Show, 3 p.m., Lincoln High School Stadium, 4777 Imperial Ave.
(92113). After a weeklong workshop with the band students at Lincoln High
School, the world-champion Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corp of Concord,
Calif., will perform live in the Lincoln High Stadium. Contact: Kelli

Tuesday: Powwow Workshop Soaring Eagles, 6 p.m. Ballard Parent Center,
2375 Congress Ave. (92110). Enjoy free potluck supper and practice for
Soaring Eagles student dance troupe, and pitch in to help the children
learn history, heritage and performance lessons. Part of Parent Outreach's

Wednesday: Adams Avenue Farmers Market, 3- 7 p.m., Adams Elementary School
playground, 4672 35th Street, San Diego (92116). The Adams Avenue Business
Association coordinates the Farmers Market. A percentage of the proceeds
go to Adams Elementary for fieldtrips and to maintain the school garden.
