BOARD PRESIDENT, DEPUTY SUPERINTENDENT PRESENT ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT RESULTS OF STATE TESTING

 

WHAT: Dr. John Lee Evans, Board of Education President, and Dr. Nellie Meyer, Deputy Superintendent for Academics, will discuss Friday's release of California Standards Test scores.

 

WHEN: 12 p.m. Noon, Friday, Aug. 31, 2012

 

WHERE: Auditorium, Eugene Brucker Education Center, 4100 Normal St. (92103)

 

DETAILS: Dr. John Lee Evans, Board of Education President, and Dr. Nellie Meyer, Deputy Superintendent for Academics, will discuss Monday's release of the California Standards Test results by the state Department of Education. The tests document student skills in four subject areas, English language arts, mathematics, science and history/social sciences. Results are district-wide and by school.  They will overview the academic gains made by the district in 2012 and historical gains since 2008.
