* 30 -- Screening of "Chosen," 5 p.m., Auditorium, Eugene Brucker Education Center, 4100 Normal Street (92103). "Chosen" is a documentary about teen sexual exploitation. 31 -- Mission Bay Cluster Schools Fair and Schoolyard Dash 5K, 8:30 a.m. to noon, De Anza Cove, Mission Bay Park. The third annual Fair and Dash kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with a Fun Run, 9 a.m. for the 5K Run/Walk, and the Mission Bay Cluster Schools Fair at 9:30. The Fair showcases the excellent public schools in the Pacific Beach neighborhood with information for parents and kids on the educational opportunities, plus fun activities. 1-2 -- John Lennon Educational Foundation Tour Bus Visit to Crown Point Junior Music Academy, open times to be announced, Crown Point Junior Music Academy, 4033 Ingraham Street (92109). The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus is a non-profit 501(c)(3) state-of-the-art mobile audio and HD video recording and production facility. With the assistance of three on-board engineers, students learn how to write, perform, record, and produce original songs, produce and shoot music videos and documentaries and complete a broadcast quality music video. * 1 -- Franklin Elementary Rain-Barrel Harvesting Program Installation, 11 a.m., Franklin Elementary School, 4481 Copeland Avenue (92116). The U.S.-Israel Center (USIC) at the Rady School of Management is funding this pilot program developed in Israel by former teacher Amir Yechieli, who installed Israel's first water catchment systems at elementary schools 16 years ago. 2 -- Support Music Community Forum, 10:30 a.m., Crown Point Junior Music Academy, 4033 Ingraham Street (92109). Part of the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus Visit, the community forum will bring together leadership to discuss the importance of music in schools. * 3 -- Linked Learning Conference visits Clairemont High School, noon to 3:30 p.m., Clairemont High School, 4150 Ute Drive (92117). Clairemont High will showcase its four academies — Academy of Business, Academy of Information Technology, Academy of Health and Medical Sciences and Academy of Engineering Design — to more than attendees of the 2016 Linked Learning Convention. 4 -- Balboa Elementary Design Task Force, 6 p.m., Balboa Elementary School, 1844 S 40th Street (92113). The second Design Task Force meeting is for phase one of the Whole Site Modernization Project at Balboa Elementary School. You will join other key stakeholders and the architect to discuss the general design of the school, and how it can best serve the students and the community for years to come. The second Design Task Force meeting is for the Whole Site Modernization Project at Emerson-Bandini Elementary School. The site master plan provides a road map for the near- and long-term growth and redevelopment of your school. It will also assist in planning the capital facilities bond projects for your school.
