What: News conference to unveil new rain barrel harvesting program at 3 local schools: Franklin Elementary, Pacific Beach Middle School and Encinitas Union District Farm Lab.

Who: The U.S.—Israel Center (USIC) at the Rady School of Management is funding this pilot program developed in Israel by former teacher Amir Yechieli, who installed Israel's first water catchment systems at elementary schools 16 years ago. Today, Mr. Yechieli's business, Rain Harvest, serves over 140 schools in Israel, including 40 in Jerusalem.
