PRO FOOTBALL LEGEND MARCUS ALLEN TO BE HONORED IN SAN DIEGO AS A "HOMETOWN HALL OF FAMER™"
Pro Football Hall of Fame, Allstate to Recognize Allen with Special Ceremony, Plaque Dedication at Lincoln High School
WHO: Marcus Allen, former Los Angeles Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs running back and Lincoln High School football legend, will be honored at his former high school as part of a special program called "Hometown Hall of Famers™ presented by the Pro Football Hall of Fame and Allstate."
WHAT: Allen will be recognized by representatives of the Pro Football Hall of Fame (PFHOF), Allstate Insurance Company and the San Diego community during a special ceremony at Lincoln High School. The event will take place Tuesday, March 6.
Allen, a University of Southern California alumnus, was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and the MVP of Super Bowl XVIII. He amassed 12,243 rushing yards and 145 touchdowns during his career. Allen was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2003.
Allen's brother Damon, a former Canadian Football League quarterback, will present him with the historic plaque which will remain on permanent display at Lincoln High School.
