Trustee John Lee Evans announces School Board reform initiative
New policies to increase transparency, accountability
SAN DIEGO -- San Diego Unified School District Trustee John Lee Evans has announced the first major update to the School Board’s ethics policies since the resignation of ex-Trustee Marne Foster one month ago. The plan, co-authored by Board Vice President Richard Barrera, is set to be voted on at tonight’s Board of Education meeting. The plan includes strict new standards of Board Member conduct, which Evans says will prevent a reoccurrence of events recently in the news.
