Concert brings together the top musicians from throughout the San Diego Unified School District for a performance of San Diego's best young artists. Teams and athletes from Lincoln, Morse, Crawford, Hoover, Point Loma, and San Diego high schools with moderate to severe programs will be participating in a soccer tournament and soccer individuals skills. * 24 -- Clairemont High Class of 2020 Acceptance Letter Ceremony, 9:30 a.m., Marston Middle School, 3799 Clairemont Dr., San Diego, CA 92117. Marston Middle School students entering Clairemont High next school year will find out which of Clairemont's four academies they will be attending. * 24 -- Correia Middle School, Mission Bay High School, San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts concert with Delfeyao Marsalis, 7:30 p.m., Crill Performance Hall, Pt. Loma Nazarene University, 3900 Lomaland Blvd., San Diego, CA 92106. Students at the three schools have been working with the First Friday Music Club and will perform with Marsalis, one of the top jazz trombonists, composers and producers; Ed Kornhauser on piano; Duncan Moore, drums; and First Friday Music Club president Glen Fisher on bass. Part of the Pt. Loma Nazarene University Cultural Concert Series through a major donation from the Ryan Family Charitable Foundation. Admission, $10, public; Pt. Loma Nazarene students, free. 25 -- Missoula Children's Theater at Barnard Elementary, 6:30 p.m., Barnard Asian Pacific Language Academy, 2445 Fogg St, San Diego, CA 92109. Missoula Children's Theater is a national traveling show that involves students from its host schools in performances. "Sleeping Beauty" will be performed using as many as 60 local children. Rehearsals scheduled March 21-15 from 12:10-5 p.m. Sponsored by the Barnard Elementary PTA. Contact: Bridgette Anderson, anderson321@cox.net. Performance is open to the public.

APRIL

14 -- Kearny High Cluster Meeting, 4:30 p.m., Kearny High Complex Room 301, 7651 Wellington Street (92111). Parents, students and community members are invited to attend this meeting, which discusses educational issues at the high school and its middle and elementary schools. Schools in the Kearny cluster are: Angier, Carson, Chesterton, Cubberley, Fletcher, Jones, Juarez, Linda Vista, Ross, and Wegeforth elementary schools; Montgomery and Taft middle schools; and Kearny High. * 16 -- UC Spirit Run, 9 a.m., University City High School, 6949 Genesee Ave, San Diego, CA 92122. This third-annual event raises money for University City schools and is sponsored by the University City cluster school supporters. Contact: http://ucspiritrun.org/ Open to the public.

16 -- Clairemont Day at the Bay, Fast Times 5K, 8 a.m., De Anza Cove, Mission Bay Park. The Clairemont area schools, including Madison and Clairemont high schools, sponsor this day of activities at Mission Bay Park. Area schools partner with local businesses and organizations to have all sorts of fun, family activities. Prospective parents and students can learn about the educational opportunities at the 19 Clairemont public schools. 19 -- Joint Board of Education--San Diego Community College District Board Meeting, 5 p.m., Mira Mesa High School Media Center, 10510 Reagan Road, San Diego, CA 92126. Elected leaders from San Diego's school district and community college district will meet jointly to discuss coordinating education programs for San Diego's students.
