Disney Parks Hopes to Inspire 1 Million Volunteers into Action Beginning
Jan. 1
A heaping helping of Disney Parks ³pixie dust² is being sprinkled on
Paradise Hills Elementary School as Disney Parks joins Volunteer San Diego
or a huge volunteer day. Disney Parks is celebrating the spirit of
volunteerism in the Bay Area and officially kicking off the ³Give a Day, Get
a Disney Day² campaign. On Saturday, more than 50 volunteers will paint
murals, landscape and clean Paradise Hills Elementary School. Mickey and
Minnie Mouse and some special Disney entertainment will be on-hand to
celebrate the moment.

Disney hopes to inspire 1 million people to volunteer in their communities
during 2010 through this first-of-its-kind program. Those who perform
volunteer service for a participating organization will receive a free
one-day admission ticket to a Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World Resort
theme park. Families are encouraged to volunteer together for the
betterment of their own communities.

³Give a Day, Get a Disney Day² program kicked off Jan. 1, 2010, and guests
can learn more and sign up for e-mail updates about how to get their free
one-day admission to a Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme park by
visiting www.DisneyParks.com (for the United States and Puerto Rico) or
www.DisneyParks.ca (for Canada).

To enable people to sign up for an eligible volunteer project in 2010,
Disney is working with HandsOn Network, the nation¹s largest volunteer
network. Part of the Points of Light Institute, HandsOn Network has 250
on-the-ground volunteer action centers across the country and connects
volunteers to more than 70,000 nonprofit agencies that need their help.
