* 12 -- Prospective Student/Parent Tours, 9:30 a.m., Challenger Middle
School, 10810 Parkdale Ave. (92126). As part of the Enrollment Options
program, prospective students and parents can take a 45-minute tour of the
campus led by our ASB students, view a presentation and attend a
question/answer session with the principal, the head counselor and the

* 14 -- Mock Job Interviews, 1:20-2:14 p.m., Clairemont High School, Academy

³American Idol² comes back on the air, students at Clairemont High¹s Academy
of Business and Technology will be facing their own teachers in ³American

* 14 -- Pajama Day, Cabrillo Elementary School, 3120 Talbot St. (92106).
Students are allowed to wear their robes and pajamas on this very special
day of the school year; the school is hoping for 100 percent participation.

18 -- Holiday, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
* 18 -- Eagles on Parade -- The Soaring Eagles student dance troupe is
marching in the 30th annual Martin Luther King Day Parade, followed by a
2:45 p.m. performance at the 12th annual San Diego Multicultural Festival on
the Promenade on Harbor Drive. The Soaring Eagles program is part of San
Diego Unified¹s American Indian Education Program, under the Parent Outreach
and Engagement Department. It is a true multigenerational educational
affair, as the students learn the dances and the cultural history behind
them from the elders during weekly Powwow Workshops, while their many adult
supporters sew their elaborate costumes and provide festive potluck suppers.

18 -- San Diego High Caver Baseball Golf Tournament, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Salt
Creek Golf Club, 525 Hunte Parkway, Chula Vista, CA 91914, (619) 482-4666,

* 21 -- High School Fair, 6-7 p.m., Millennial Tech Middle School Center
Court, 1110 Carolina Lane. (92102). Because Millennial Tech Middle School is
a magnet school and draws students from throughout San Diego Unified, this
fair will acquaint graduating 8th graders with the high school choices they

* 21-23 -- Seeking The Symphony, San Diego School of Creative and Performing
Arts, 2425 Dusk Drive. The school¹s annual symphony concert has curtain

where a pool of water becomes a magical meeting place for mortals and the

popular event will feature displays, student performances and

20-27 -- San Diego Science Festival, various locations and times. San
Diego's largest celebration of science returns to offer thousands of
students and their families the opportunity to "excite their minds." Today
(Nov. 10), the San Diego Science Festival announced that, in addition to
year-round K12 programs, the 2010 event will bring a week of science
activities and exploration to San Diego County with hundreds of free events
beginning March 20, 2010 and culminating in Expo Day at PETCO Park on March
