MEDIA ADVISORY from the San Diego Unified School District, Sept. 28, 2012

'STATE OF THE DISTRICT' ADDRESS TUESDAY BY BOARD PRESIDENT EVANS

WHAT: "State of the District" Address by Dr. John Lee Evans, Board of
Education President

WHEN/WHERE: 4:30 p.m. reception, 5:30 p.m. address, Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012,
University City High School, 6949 Genesee Avenue (92122).

DETAILS: Dr. Evans will discuss the accomplishments of the past school
year, the plans and challenges of the 2012-13 school year, and the
district's 2020 Vision. Reception entertainment is from the San Diego High
School Kokopelli Mariachi Band and the University City High School dance
team. Other entertainment and participation will come from University City
High School, as well as students from the Class of 2020 at Whitman
Elementary School.
