NEWS RELEASE -- Lockdowns lifted at Boone Elementary, Bell Middle Schools

NEWS RELEASE from the San Diego Unified School District, May 24, 2013

LOCKDOWNS LIFTED AT BOONE ELEMENTARY, BELL MIDDLE SCHOOLS

SAN DIEGO -- Lockdowns at two San Diego Unified campuses, Boone Elementary
School, 7330 Brookhaven Rd. (92114), and Bell Middle School, 620 Briarwood
Rd. (92139), have been lifted.

The schools were placed in lockdown at approximately 12:15 p.m. today as a
result of police activity in the area; lockdowns were lifted at
approximately 2:15 p.m.

Parents can use their normal routine in collecting their children after
school. Bell's dismissal time today is 2:15 p.m.; Boone concludes its day
at 3:35 p.m.

There were no injuries or incidents on the school campuses. San Diego
Unified School Police are remaining in the area to help facilitate
dismissal. Any questions regarding the police activity should go to the
San Diego Police Department.
