1 -- EdUCate Oktoberfest, 2-6 p.m. Standley Park 3585 Governor Drive (92122). Proceeds benefit University City schools. EdUCate! is a nonprofit foundation established in 1993 to provide supplemental funds for all five of the University City public schools: Curie, Doyle, Spreckels elementary schools, Standley Middle School and University City High School. 1 -- Campus Cleanup Day, 8-11 a.m., Barnard Elementary School, 2930 Barnard St. (92110). Parents and the community will meet on a Saturday morning to help spruce up the Pt. Loma campus. PTA and school are looking for rakes, brooms, gloves. Contact: Jim Boydston, jimboydston@sbcglobal.net. Open to the public.
3-7 International Walk to School Week. Many schools are participating; contact Jack Brandais in Communications Department if you are interested in covering. 619-725-5570.

* 3 -- Tdap Clinic, 1-4 p.m., Lincoln High School, 4777 Imperial Ave. (92113). Tdap booster shots will be available at the following locations to any San Diego Unified School District student who meets eligibility for Vaccines for Children program. These are generally students who qualify for the Child Health and Disability Prevention Act and MediCal. Students with private insurance or Healthy Families coverage generally do not qualify for Vaccines for Children, but ask at the session. 3 -- Crawford Cluster Committee, 6 p.m., Mann Middle School, 4345 54th St. (92115). Meeting of schools and community: Crawford High Educational Complex, Mann Middle School, Carver K-8, Clay, Euclid, Fay, Ibarra, Marshall, Oak Park, Rolondo Park elementary schools. * 8 – Stand Up for Your Child, 9:30 a.m. Porter North Elementary School, 445 S. 47th St. (92113). Learn how to be the best advocate for your child, what important issues are affecting your child's education and what you can do in the Stand Up for Your Child, Parent Advocacy Training and Educational Consultation Clinic, Presented by the Parental Readiness and Empowerment Program, a project of the Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. 10 -- Zhenjiang University Arts Troupe, 5 p.m., Barnard Elementary School, 2930 Barnard St. (92110). Group will be performing and sharing the rich cultural heritage of China with students and families. Contact: Eddie Park, Principal, (619) 224-3306. Open to the public.

20 -- "Building Healthy Communities," 6 p.m., Lincoln High School, 4777 Imperial Ave. (92113). The Community Wellness program presents: James P. Comer, MD, MPH, a nationally renowned child psychiatrist, will discuss promoting collaboration among parents, educators and the community to improve social, emotional and academic outcomes for students. 24 -- Mira Mesa Cluster School Meeting, 6 p.m., Mira Mesa High School Library - 10510 Reagan Rd. (92126).
