locations all over San Diego County salutes science, engineering and other

23 -- Vikings, Vines and Vintners Fundraiser for La Jolla High Foundation,
La Jolla Country Club, 7301 High Ave. (92037). The event features wine
tasting from vineyards around the state, entertainment, food stations and

23 -- San Diego Unified Middle School Instrumental Honor Concert, 7-9
p.m., Brown Chapel, Point Loma Nazarene University, 3900 Lomaland Dr.

open to the public. There will be a band and an orchestra concert.

27 ­ San Diego Unified¹s 2013 Volunteer & Partner Recognition Event,
4-5:30 p.m., Lindbergh Schweitzer Elementary School, 4133 Mt. Albertine
Ave. (92111). Hosted by San Diego Unified School District and California
Coast Credit Union, this festive event recognizes the time and effort put
forth by all our volunteers and partners, and their countless
contributions to making our schools a better place for students. At the
ceremony, three volunteers and three partners at the elementary, middle
and high school levels will be selected as the District¹s ³Volunteers of
