San Diego Unified Set to Honor Partners-in-Education, School-site Volunteers at 2013 Volunteer and Partner Recognition Event
What: San Diego Unified and California Coast Credit Union have joined efforts to host the 2013 Volunteer & Partner Recognition Event, a special ceremony to honor the numerous school-site volunteers, Partners-in-Education and advisory committee volunteer chairs that contribute time and energy to their local San Diego Unified schools.
When: Wednesday, March 27, 2013; 4-5:30 p.m. (reception: 4-4:20 p.m.; ceremony: 4:30 p.m.)
Where: Lindbergh Schweitzer Elementary School (West Campus), 4133 Mt. Albertine Ave., San Diego (92111)
Details: This festive event begins with a reception with light appetizers and student entertainment, followed by a formal recognition ceremony. At the ceremony, all volunteers and partners nominated by their school will be recognized along with the individuals who volunteer to chair the various district advisory committees. In addition, one volunteer and one partner from schools at each of the grade levels (elementary, middle, high and atypical) will be named "Volunteer of the Year" and "Partner of the Year." The event kicks-off National Volunteer Appreciation Month in April. The event is by invitation only, and not open to the public.

Parking: Parking is available on Mt. Albertine Ave., and surrounding streets, as well as the parking lot on the Lindbergh Schweitzer East Campus.
